Westminster brewery defends itself amid social media uproar over ‘Ice Ice Baby’ post

DENVER (KDVR) — A Westminster brewery is speaking out after a post on social media referencing “Ice Ice Baby” faced backlash as stores decided to close on Friday during the nationwide shutdown in support of ending Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations.

On Friday, many Denver clothing stores and restaurants decided to close for a national shutdown. Many stores stayed open for various reasons, including Wonderland Brewing, a Westminster brewery that said on social media that it was open.

The post has since been taken down, but according to Westword, the post was a photo of Vanilla Ice, and said:

“Ice Ice Baby… we called Vanilla, and he confirmed that several Colorado buisnesses and even some scools are closed today… But we opened at noon and you should get your cold beer on… Smile Wonder Fans”…
