South Metro Fire Rescue firetruck involved in crash in Highlands Ranch

DENVER (KDVR) — A firetruck, South Metro Engine 17 of South Metro Fire Rescue, was involved in a motor vehicle crash in Highlands Ranch on Thursday morning.

The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. on South University Boulevard, according to SMFR, which said no civilians were injured during the crash but two firefighters went to a local hospital to be evaluated.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the crash. No further details about the crash were provided…
