Evergreen residents confident they will recover after 2nd active shooter incident

EVERGREEN, Colo. (KDVR) — Almost exactly five months to the day after the shooting at Evergreen High School, another active shooter Thursday night in the community sent people right back to that day in September.

The shooting happened at the CommonSpirit Primary Care clinic. The Jefferson County Sheriff says gunshots only damaged the clinic, but windows are broken out in the other businesses, too.

The complex’s property manager told FOX31’s Nate Belt that it happened while police were clearing out the building; they had to break windows to get inside the closed businesses.
