Parker Police Phones Go Dark, 911 Rerouted Before Morning Rush

Early Friday, Parker residents trying to reach police on non-emergency lines hit a wall when the phones went down, and the department quickly told anyone with an emergency to call 911 instead. While technicians worked on the problem, incoming 911 calls were forwarded to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. By a 9:00 a.m. update, the department reported that both the 911 system and its non-emergency lines were back in service.
