DENVER (KDVR) — A thief walked away with 17 bowling balls from a Denver professional’s front porch last week, hauling away about 255 pounds of equipment worth about $4,500.
The balls belonged to Steven Gallegos, a professional bowler who has spent 42 years in the sport. Gallegos said he left the equipment on the porch of his home in Denver’s Baker neighborhood Tuesday night because he needed to move it to another vehicle the next day. He says it’s a heavy lift, and leaving them on his porch was more convenient than hauling them inside.

When he woke up, the balls, which were stored in several bowling bags, were gone.
