‘Hurt by someone who was supposed to care’: School bus aide who knocked out tooth, fractured bones of nonverbal students headed to prison

A Colorado school bus aide is headed to prison after she was caught on video striking at least three nonverbal students who have autism, devastating parents who thought she was there to protect their kids.

Kiarra Jones, 30, on Friday was sentenced to 4 1/2 years behind bars, prosecutors with the 18th Judicial District said. She pleaded guilty in January to 10 counts of third-degree felony assault of an at-risk child and two counts of misdemeanor child abuse.
