‘He’d change your mood in a heartbeat’: Friends and co-workers remember Marvin Dzib, killed in Denver road rage shooting

DENVER — To those who knew Marvin Dzib, the 28-year-old was the kind of person who made every day better just by showing up. Now, his friends and coworkers are remembering his life after Denver Police say a St. Patrick’s Day road rage confrontation left him dead in the city’s Montbello neighborhood — and a suspect is under arrest.

“Marvin, a real faithful guy, easy-going, always in a good mood,” said Randy Hoffman, a co-worker at Denver Dustless, a floor installation business where Dzib had worked for several years. “If you were in a bad mood, you’d want to be around him because he’d change your mood in a heartbeat.”

Hoffman said he always knew it was going to be a good day when he saw Dzib’s purple car pulling into the parking lot. That car is still there. Dzib never made it back…
