Alamo Drafthouse Sloans Lake employees announce strike

DENVER (KDVR) — Employees of the Alamo Drafthouse Sloans Lake movie theater are going on strike due to recent changes that implemented a QR code ordering system.

The employees, represented by Communications Workers of America Local 7777, announced that they will begin an Unfair Labor Practice strike on Friday, following a “disastrous” rollout of the QR code system, citing the company’s refusal to address the impact on workers and customers.
