The doldrums of winter are over — if they ever existed at all — and the city of Lakewood is preparing.
The city will be providing free mulch to residents at the beginning of May after collecting limbs and leaves back in the fall, according to a news release from Lakewood Community Resources.
Those preparing to start summer landscaping projects can pick up mulch from the city greenhouse at 9556 W. Yale Ave. from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 2 and 9. Staff will also be present with a loader to help those pack up the mulch…
