Earlier this week, I highlighted one of my favorite categories that Westword included in their 2026 ‘Best of Denver’ awards – best bang for your buck burrito. Among the many great recommendations featured in their report, there’s one other category that really resonated with me as a person who absolutely loves pickles and pizza – the spot with ‘the best pickle pizza’ in the Mile High City of Denver.
Do pickles belong on pizza? I’m sure some circles still think that’s up for debate. In my opinion, it’s not. An odd topping? Sure. But I’m also a person who tends to go pepperoni and pineapple on a pizza whenever I get the chance, and I think there’s a place for pickles on pizza, too.
