INGLEWOOD, Calif – Los Angeles is home to a World Cup match for the first time in over three decades, and it appears it was not prepared for the volume of fans attempting to enter Los Angeles Stadium.
The stadium, which seats over 70,000 fans, opened its gates at 2 P.M. local time, with World Cup fans immediately pouring in. As the hours continued to tick by, more and more fans began to congregate at the various entrances that littered the stadium’s perimeter as the opening ceremony’s start inched closer.
