Company has weeks to complete cleanup of Boyle Heights warehouse fire, officials announce

Los Angeles officials issued an emergency order Monday which gives Lineage Logistics less than two months to clean up the wreckage and 85 million pounds of spoiled food left behind by the Boyle Heights warehouse fire.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass signed two executive orders calling for the immediate cleanup of the charred warehouse, which burned for eight days after the 500,000-square-foot cold-storage facility erupted into flames on June 17.

City officials announced Monday that they’ve given Lineage Logistics five days to come up with a comprehensive clean-up plan, and 45 days to complete the cleanup. The city is also considering legal action against Lineage Logistics or any other entities responsible for the fire…
