A man suspected of living in a Manhattan Beach resident’s garage without their permission was recently arrested after one too many trips to the refrigerator, according to the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
“A surprise guest in the garage,” Manhattan Beach PD wrote on social media. “Food was disappearing from a refrigerator inside a Manhattan Beach residence’s garage. The reporting party had no idea why, until officers arrived and discovered a subject living inside the garage, and ultimately arrested him.”
Police posted a photo of the man in handcuffs to social media but did not release his identity or say specifically where the alleged crime took place. It’s unclear how long the suspect was living inside the garage.
