Los Angeles County Is Now Investigating Farmers Insurance — One Month After Suing State Farm — Over the Same Eaton and Palisades Fire Claims

This morning, Los Angeles County Counsel opened a formal investigation into Farmers Insurance Company over its handling of claims from survivors of the Eaton and Palisades fires.

The investigation, reported today by CBS Los Angeles, will focus on California’s Unfair Competition Law — the same legal framework LA County used when it filed suit against State Farm last month for alleged mishandling of the same fires’ survivor claims.
