Five people were injured in a violent crash in the San Fernando Valley late Saturday morning that shut down part of Ventura Boulevard, authorities say, later confirming that one victim died at the hospital.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Densmore Avenue in Encino at 11:19 a.m. on reports of a traffic collision.
