Semitrailer on fire shuts down part of 5 Freeway in Sylmar

Several lanes of the Northbound 5 Freeway were shut down in Sylmar after a semitrailer reportedly transporting produce caught on fire.

The vehicle fire was reported just before 8 p.m. near Roxford Street. The incident led to authorities initially closing all lanes of the northbound 5 Freeway in the area.
