The remains of two people were discovered in a remote area of Lancaster Tuesday afternoon during an investigation into a missing persons case, the Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department announced.
Based on the circumstances surrounding the discovery, the case is now being investigated as a homicide, LASD told KTLA.
No information regarding the identities of the two bodies that were found or the circumstances surrounding their deaths is being released at this time “to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation,” authorities said.
