Calif.: 4 illegal aliens arrested in pre-dawn raid for credit card and bankruptcy fraud, fifth remains at large

According to federal authorities, agents in Orange County and Long Beach, California, arrested four illegal aliens facing federal charges for purportedly using stolen Social Security numbers to rack up tens of thousands of dollars in retail credit card debt before filing for bankruptcy to wipe out the balances.

One of the defendants, Abel Ávila Martínez, 48, of Buena Park, is a Mexican national who was deported from the United States in 1999. The feds say that he used fraudulent Social Security numbers to rack up thousands of dollars in debt, per the California Post.
