A Canyon Country man was arrested Wednesday for the alleged rape of his then-16-year-old stepdaughter two years ago.
An 18-year-old woman had informed law enforcement that her stepfather raped her two years ago while she was a minor teen, said Sgt. Joseph Mesa, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Victims Bureau.
The incident occurred while the victim was living on the 29400 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country.
Sheriff’s officials were unable to release any additional information into the crime, or when it was first reported to law enforcement.
Gamaniel Franco, 32, from Santa Clarita, was arrested on one felony count of sexual penetration by force, to officials.
