Business owners in Eagle Rock are calling for even more police patrols after three small businesses were burglarized over the Easter weekend.
The three businesses targeted are all restaurants – Chateau Lemongrass, Pub 1954 and Cheebo – and are all located in the 1900 block of Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock.

A server at Chateau Lemongrass told KTLA that this is not the first time the restaurant was hit by thieves and that the restaurant had been burglarized within the last month and a half.
He said the thief or thieves were able to take the store’s cash register and safe last month. Although the restaurant has since bolted them down, they were still able to get away with cash this time around.
“It’s already hard enough to survive as a restaurant on your own,” Chateau Lemongrass employee Nathaniel Kraft said. “Having people break in overnight when you’re not here and stealing your money doesn’t help at all.”
This weekend’s round of burglaries comes after Los Angeles City Councilman Kevin de León designated $100,000 in discretionary funds “to cover LAPD overtime costs for foot patrols, particularly along Colorado and Eagle Rock boulevards.”
