Long Beach police will hold checkpoint in East LB Friday night

The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) will hold a checkpoint from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, April 26 in East Long Beach. Police will be checking for impaired drivers, either from alcohol, marijuana or over-the-counter drugs as well as people driving without a license or an expired license. Checkpoint locations are chosen based on data showing where accidents due to impaired driving occur, according to a press release from the LBPD.
