Justice for Murdered Rapper PnB Rock as Killer is Sentenced to 31 Years in Prison

A man has been convicted in the killing of rapper PnB Rock, real name Rakim Allen, which occurred in 2022. Freddie Lee Trone was sentenced to 31 years in prison for the attempted robbery and fatal shooting of Allen in Los Angeles. The sentencing occurred in August 2024.

Trone did not commit the murder himself, instead sending his teenage son into the L.A. restaurant to rob Allen. According to prosecutors, Allen was eating with his girlfriend at Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles when the 17-year-old approached him, demanding his jewelry.

Allen refused. Trone’s son then shot him once in the chest and twice in the back, according to a report from Music News. KTLA reported that Freddie Lee Trone was charged with felony murder, robbery, and conspiracy. He will likely spend the rest of his life in prison. Another defendant, Tremont Jones, was also found guilty of robbery and conspiracy and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Teenage Killer and Father Convicted of PnB Rock’s Murder in L.A.

Freddie Lee Trone’s son is being tried in juvenile court since he was 17 at the time of the murder. Charges include first-degree murder. He also went through a mental competency hearing in August, according to a report from the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
