With the Lakers preseason starting October 4th, Bronny James and his father will became the first father-son teammates in league history. Soon they will be the first father-son duo to appear in an NBA game together.
Responding on X to a recent father-son photo shoot, Bronny had only one word to say about it, “History.”
While some say that Bronny isn’t ready for the primetime, I find that hard to believe. You just have to temper your expectations. Bronny isn’t LeBron, he’s a young role player who will likely spend most of his minutes playing against other backups. On top of that, LeBron has been a positive force in preparing Bronny for what to expect in the NBA. If you can scrimmage against LeBron James, then you can more than hold your own against other backup NBA players.

Commentators have leveled huge criticisms against Bronny, claiming that his low production in his first college season is indicative of how well he’ll perform in the pros. Other, more cynical commentators have suggested that drafting Bronny was merely a publicity stunt to grab more viewers.
