Body found in car at Wilson Park in Torrance

An investigation was underway into the death of a person whose body was found Tuesday in a vehicle at Wilson Park in Torrance.

Officers were sent to the 2200 block of Crenshaw Boulevard at about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Torrance Police Department.

“Torrance Police Officers arrived and discovered a female inside a locked car who was non-responsive,” Torrance police said in a statement. “Officers broke the window to gain access inside the vehicle and subsequently found that the female was deceased.”

Information was not immediately available on the person’s age, identity or cause of death.

“The investigation is ongoing, and no foul play is suspected as of now,” police said.
