Harry Snyder opened the first In-N-Out location in a small 100-square-foot space in Baldwin Park, California, in 1948. He sold burgers while his wife managed the accounting from their nearby home. From these humble beginnings, the company has grown to over 400 locations across 8 states. The lion’s share of these stores—about 275—are in California, where it all began. The company isn’t done expanding yet. The In-N-Out website lists the following 4 locations where new stores will be coming soon to the Golden State:
- 540 N. Euclid Street,– Anaheim
- 1700 East Ventura Blvd.– Oxnard
- 13864 Foothill Blvd.– Sylmar
- 20512 Avalon Blvd.– Carson
Grand opening dates have yet to be announced for the new restaurants. The only indication of timing is “coming soon.”
The seven other states where In-N-Out operates are Texas, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, and Oregon.
