LOS ANGELES – Officials nationwide have issued statements after tragedy struck in the French Quarter during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day in New Orleans. Authorities said 15 people were killed and 33 people were injured after a truck sped through a crowd of people on Bourbon Street.
