Authorities are searching for answers after a body washed ashore near Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier in Long Beach on Sunday.
According to the Long Beach Fire Department, the body was discovered to be washed up on the beach at about 11:30 a.m. in the area of Ocean and 36th Street.
The decedent was determined to be a man in his 50s. His identity was not immediately revealed.
LBFD said the death does not appear to be suicide. Cause of death is under investigation…
