Firefighters recover woman found in L.A. River

Boyle Heights — Firefighters pulled a woman out of three to four inches of static water along the Los Angeles River in Boyle Heights today, authorities said.

The woman, said to be approximately 55 years old, was “lying supine” in the water near Washington Boulevard, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
