CHICAGO, IL – The James Beard Foundation has announced the nominees for the 2025 Restaurant and Chef Awards, with winners set to be honored at the Lyric Opera of Chicago on June 16, 2025. The event, celebrating its 35th anniversary, will also introduce new categories, including Best New Bar and Outstanding Professional in Beverage Service.
Nominees span the country, from San Francisco’s Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski (Atomic Workshop) for Outstanding Restaurateur to Tulsa’s Lisa Becklund (FarmBar) for Outstanding Chef. California is well-represented, with Long Beach’s Gusto Bread nominated for Outstanding Bakery and Los Angeles’ Tobin Shea (Redbird) in the Outstanding Cocktail Service category.
