Long Beach Police Investigate Late-Night Shooting on E Ocean Boulevard, Suspect at Large

Long Beach witnessed another act of violence this weekend, as per reports from the Long Beach Police Department. According to the police’s official report, officers responded to a call about a shooting on the 5000 block of E Ocean Boulevard on the night of May 30, 2025, at approximately 10:44 p.m. The scene confirmed a shooting had taken place, even though neither the victim nor the suspect was present when law enforcement arrived.

Subsequently, after officers surveyed the scene, a male adult reportedly arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper body, identifying himself as the victim of the aforementioned shooting. The preliminary investigation unfolded a story of a verbal altercation between the victim and a female suspect, which turned physical when the suspect allegedly discharged a firearm, striking the man.
