Early morning disturbances in Long Beach led to a situation where police were called to investigate a negligent discharge of a firearm. According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers arrived at the scene on the 6900 block of Paramount Blvd around 3:45 a.m. on June 10, 2025. The authorities were responding to reports of what was initially thought to be a no-hit shooting incident.
The confrontation, which spiraled out of a verbal altercation between a male and a female, culminated in a struggle for the gun. During this tussle, the gun went off, but fortunately, no one was struck by the bullet. The LBPD’s preliminary findings suggest the exchange grew heated, leading the male suspect to draw out a firearm, which led to the scuffle and subsequent discharge it was a fortunate twist of fate that averted what could have escalated into a dire conclusion. At present, no casualties have been reported in connection to the episode.
Once they arrived, law enforcement officers conducted a search but were unable to locate any physical evidence of a shooting, such as shell casings or bullet damage indicating where the fired round ended up; this lack of physical evidence also implies that the bullet did not hit anyone.
