Compton Man in Allegedly Behind Armed Robberies of 7-Eleven Stores Due for Sentencing

A Compton man is set to be sentenced Monday for his role in a series of armed robberies of mostly 7-Eleven stores in South Los Angeles during a nearly two-month crime spree two years ago.

Charles Christopher, 25, pleaded guilty in March in downtown Los Angeles to federal charges of interference with commerce by robbery, known as a Hobbs Act crime, and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

According to the 2024 indictment, four defendants committed a series of armed robberies, mostly of 7-Eleven stores in South Los Angeles and a CVS in Hollywood.
