Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass confronted a number of federal agents congregating near the city’s downtown area Monday in an apparent raid, demanding that they disperse immediately.
“They need to leave, and they need to leave right now!” Bass told reporters at the scene. “They need to leave because this is not acceptable! Just wait and see, they will be leaving soon.”
At least 100 federal agents were seen taking part in the apparent raid, including U.S. Border Patrol agents, according to NBC4 Los Angeles, as were several armored vehicles. It remains unclear, however, whether anyone was arrested, or what the purpose of the activity was…
