Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on Thursday blasted Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ recent rant about ICE agents wearing masks during raids on illegal immigrants.
Bass had recently announced that her office is filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to discover the identities of ICE agents working to detain illegal immigrants in California, later posting a clip of the MSNBC interview on X with the question, “Who are these masked men going around our city, snatching people off the streets?” ICE responded on the social media platform that the officers in question “wear masks because rhetoric like [Bass’] has ramped up threats and assaults against their families.”
ICE’s official X account stated further that its agents are “doing their job and detaining illegal aliens who broke immigration law.” ICE also demanded Bass stop “fearmongering for political attention.”…
