‘Karen Bass Resign Now’ Signs Appear Across Pacific Palisades as Wildfire Recovery Concerns Grow

PACIFIC PALISADES – Dozens of yard signs reading “Karen Bass Resign Now” were posted throughout Pacific Palisades over the weekend, signaling continued frustration with Mayor Karen Bass’s response to the January wildfire and the city’s recovery efforts.

To date, approximately 51 property owners, along with two trailer park residents and two apartment tenants, have requested the signs. Organizers say they are protected under the First Amendment as non-commercial speech. Some residents traveled together in groups or caravans to collect and display them.

One resident who participated in distributing the signs and asked not to be named, citing concerns over potential retaliation during permit and application processes, called the effort “a sign of solidarity.”…
