A California family alerted police over the weekend after they found what appeared to be military ordnances while cleaning out a deceased relative’s home.
The Los Angeles Police Department said two individuals arrived at the LAPD’s Foothill Station in the Pacoima neighborhood at around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday to turn over the explosives they found while clearing out their relative’s home. Officers accompanied them to their vehicle, in which they had a plastic box filled with multiple military ordnances.
The LAPD Bomb Squad was called to the scene, and they used a robot to take images of the explosives. As a precaution, service was suspended at several nearby bus stops while officers investigated. LADOT Transit announced DASH Pacoima buses were rerouted in both directions “due to police activity.”…
