Arrow attack leads to standoff on beach in Malibu

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is engaged in a standoff in Malibu on Wednesday after a passerby reported that the occupant of a home shot an arrow at them while they were walking their dog.

At about 10:15 a.m., deputies were called to the 25000 block of Malibu Road for a reported assault with a deadly weapon, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

The LASD said the call was made by a person who was allegedly shot at with an arrow while walking their dog on the beach.

Officials said two people were possibly hurt, though the extent of their injuries has not been made public. It’s unclear if the person walking the dog was hurt and is therefore one of the two…
