A Los Angeles County employee who allegedly broke into the Hall of Administration multiple times and left threats to a co-worker has been charged with hate crimes, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced on Tuesday.
Prosecutors said the 42-year-old L.A. County Counsel worker, identified as Bhavin Patel, burglarized the Hall of Administration in downtown Los Angeles on Aug. 25, Aug. 26 and Sept. 4 to place prepared threats on his Asian co-worker’s desk and nearby cubicles.
“As soon as we learned of these hateful acts, we reached out to the Sheriff’s Department to help investigate and identify the perpetrator, while offering support to those maliciously targeted,” County Counsel Dawyn Harrison said…
