Amicus Brief Backs Gov. Newsom, Urges Judges to Uphold Federal Deployment Ruling
Los Angeles City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto announced Wednesday that her office is leading a coalition of 36 cities and counties, along with the U.S. Conference of Mayors, in filing an amicus brief supporting California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s lawsuit challenging the federal government’s deployment of National Guard troops and U.S. Marines in Los Angeles.
