A woman in Southern California is accused of targeting elderly men, claiming to be their girlfriend or companion, and then committing burglaries at their homes.
Adva Lavie, 28, “has been involved in a series of residential burglaries” throughout the Los Angeles area, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department wrote in an online announcement. She has allegedly used social media dating platforms to find “elderly men” before homing in on their possessions.
At least 10 men in Malibu and Los Angeles County are believed to have been victimized, and the sheriff’s department statement was posted with the express purpose of finding “similar victims.”…
