Los Angeles, US: Authorities in Los Angeles have arrested a 34-year-old woman following a violent assault on her hospital roommate that left the victim critically injured. The incident occurred late Sunday evening at St. Mary’s Medical Center, turning what was meant to be a place of healing into a scene of horror.
According to hospital officials, the attack happened around 10:45 p.m. in a shared patient room on the facility’s third floor. Nurses responded after hearing loud screams and the sound of objects crashing inside the room. When they rushed in, they found one patient severely beaten and the other — identified as the suspect — standing nearby, visibly agitated.
