Newborn Found Dead in USC Campus Apartment Building

An infant was found dead inside a residential building on the campus of the University of Southern California (USC), prompting an ongoing investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

Authorities said officers responded to a call on Monday, Oct. 27, in the 3100 block of McClintock Avenue — the site of USC’s Cardinal Gardens Apartments — where they discovered the body of a full-term infant.

Just over an hour earlier, first responders had arrived at the same location following reports of a 20-year-old woman experiencing difficulty breathing, according to KTLA. She was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. It remains unclear whether the two incidents are connected…
