Atmospheric river set to slam into California bringing flood risks and high winds

A major atmospheric river is set to bring heavy wind and rain to much of California this week, threatening residents with possible flooding and debris flows in recently burned areas.

The storm is expected to arrive in Northern California on Wednesday before moving along the coast and making landfall in Southern California on Friday, where it is expected to remain for much of the weekend.
