A Northridge man accused of collaborating with a crime tourism ring involving members from South America that burglarized homes, stole credit cards and laundered millions of dollars has pleaded guilty, officials announced Tuesday night.
Miguel Angel Barajas, 49, entered his guilty plea on Monday, according to a post from the FBI Los Angeles field office on X.
Barajas was previously named in a 2024 indictment that alleged Juan Carlos Thola-Duran, 57, and his live-in girlfriend Ana Maria Arriagada, 41, used their Van Nuys car rental business, Driver Power Rentals, to assist crime tourism groups for a period of more than six years, from January 2018 to June 2024…
