According to a Facebook post shared by the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control on Wednesday, Jan. 14, dozens of ducks were found inside a box truck north of Los Angeles in Palmdale after their owner died.

“This morning, our Palmdale ACC officers responded to a heartbreaking and unusual situation. CHP requested assistance with around 200 ducks who were found inside a box truck after the owner/guardian passed away,” the post began. It remains unclear how the owner had died…
