LBPD Homicide Detectives Arrest Four in Double Murder Case

Homicide detectives have made multiple arrests in connection with the August 6, 2025 killings of 45-year-old Luis Parra and 24-year-old Josue Pacheco, authorities announced in an update released Monday.

Through an ongoing investigation, detectives identified Jesus Arredondo, a 40-year-old Carson resident, as the suspect in the murders. Arredondo was arrested on Jan. 15, 2026, by Special Investigation Division detectives in the 2300 block of Bellevue Avenue in Los Angeles. He was booked into the Long Beach City Jail on suspicion of murder, and his bail was set at $1 million.

Detectives have also arrested several additional suspects accused of aiding in the crimes.

A 17-year-old Carson resident was arrested on Jan. 9, 2026, in the 200 block of West Torrance Boulevard in Carson by Special Investigation Division detectives. The juvenile’s identity is being withheld due to his age. He was booked for aiding someone who committed a felony, and his bail was set at $2 million…
