Rolling Hills Estates area on lockdown after shots fired at deputy’s vehicle

A neighborhood in Rolling Hills Estates was placed on lockdown Sunday morning after reports of shots fired at a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy patrol vehicle prompted a large law enforcement response.

The investigation is centered on the 600 block of Deep Valley Drive, where deputies responded around 8:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
