Long Beach Police say two people—a 14-year-old boy and 19-year-old Jian Xavier Salas—have been arrested for attempted murder after a shooting on Feb. 22, 2026 on the 5300 block of Elm Avenue. Officers found a 14-year-old victim with gunshot wounds and gave lifesaving aid before he was taken to the hospital, where he’s now stable.
Detectives arrested the 14-year-old suspect in Lakewood on Feb. 23, and Salas was booked for attempted murder and accessory after the fact with $75,000 bail. The case was sent to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office on Feb. 25 for review…
