Man stomped girlfriend’s 2-month-old pet rabbit to death, L.A. prosecutors say

A 25-year-old North Hollywood man has been charged in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s 2-month-old rabbit, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

In a news release, investigators said the alleged domestic abuse and animal cruelty incident happened at the couple’s apartment around 9 p.m. on Feb. 11.

Nikolas Hart, who is accused of assaulting his girlfriend on previous occasions, allegedly stomped on the rabbit, named Momo, in a fit of rage, then scooped the animal up, put it in a trash bag and threw it out of the couple’s second-story window.

“The rabbit died from blunt force trauma to the chest, abdomen and face,” investigators said…
