West Hollywood saw two apparent suicide attempts within days of each other this month. A man died last week after jumping from The West Hollywood Edition hotel on Sunset Boulevard. Just a few blocks down and a couple days later on Thursday, May 21st, a man identified only as Tom jumped from the roof of a residential building at 1124 North Sherborne Drive, above Sunset. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in critical condition.
A neighbor with knowledge of the incident, who asked not to be identified, confirmed the details to WEHOonline.
Tom had lived in the building until his wife asked him to move out about six months ago. It was thought they were going through a divorce. He returned to the building the morning of the incident. His wife was not home. Neighbors think she was out walking the dog. That’s when Tom went to the roof of the building and jumped…
